At Olson, Reyes & Sauerwein, LLC, we have a full-service team comprising a CPA firm that specializes in providing you with not only auditing, accounting, and tax services, but also management consulting services. Scott is one of the founding partners of Olson, Reyes & Sauerwein. He is a 1979 graduate of Luther College and has practiced in Denver since 1981.
Scott’s concentration is in business and financial advice, income tax planning and preparation, and IRS representation and negotiation.

Stan is one of the founding partners of Olson, Reyes & Sauerwein. He is a 1979 graduate of Ball State University and has practiced in Denver, since 1980.
Stan’s concentration is audit and accounting and consulting, with a specialization on the manufacturing, retail, real estate and professional service industries.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Colorado Christian University and has practiced in Denver since 1997.
Jeff has concentrated his audit practice on the financial services, construction and real estate industries. He is in charge of the firms’ systems department and has extensive tax preparation and planning experience for both individuals and businesses.

Patrick Thomas, CPA, CFP®, is a partner in Olson, Reyes & Sauerwein LLC. Prior to his becoming a partner in Olson, Reyes & Sauerwein, Patrick served in increasing roles as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and President from 1998 to 2009 for Macrosystem US, Inc., the wholly owned US subsidiary of Macrosystem Digital Video AG in Germany, where he also served on the International Board of Directors from 2000 to 2003. Patrick held increasing roles as Chief Financial Officer, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Sweetwater, Inc., a $12 million publicly traded water purification research and manufacturing company from 1994 to 2000.
Patrick also served as President and Managing Member of Total Beverage LLC, a private limited liability company specializing in retail beverage sales, between 1998 and 2003.Patrick was Chief Financial Officer for Bird Medical Technologies, Inc., a $50 million publicly traded medical products manufacturer, from 1990 to 1993. From 1993 to 1994 he held positions as Vice President of Finance for Head Sports USA, Inc. a $50 million sporting goods manufacturer and distributor, and then Chief Accounting Officer and Controller for Synergen, Inc., a 600 employee publicly traded biotechnology pharmaceutical development company.
Patrick also served as Chief Financial Officer and Director for LIFECARE International, Inc., a privately owned $20 million international medical products manufacturer, from 1984 to 1990. From 1976 to 1984, Patrick began his career in public accounting specializing in tax.
Patrick also serves as a partner in Thomas Financial Advisors LLC, a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor serving clients with comprehensive investment, tax and risk management advisory services.
Patrick received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois in 1976, his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1977, and his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2010. He received the Key Bank-Gold Crown Foundation Volunteer of the year award in 1997 and is a member of Financial Executives International.

Bill was a partner in the firm of McEwen, Hammel & Kohlwey which merged its practice into ORS in 2008. He has over thirty-five years of experience in accounting, tax and management advisory matters. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Kansas State University.

Dave was a partner in the CPA firm of McEwen, Hammel & Kohlwey which merged its practice into ORS in 2008. He has over thirty years of experience in accounting, taxation, management advisory services and peer reviews of CPA firms. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Colorado.

Andrew Thomas, CPA, is a partner in Olson, Reyes & Sauerwein LLC. Prior to becoming a partner in Olson, Reyes & Sauerwein LLC, Andrew served as a Senior Associate with the CPA firm Ehrhardt, Keefe, Steiner & Hottman PC, specializing in audit and consulting services primarily for the oil and gas industry. Andrew served in increasing roles as Associate and Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 2004 through 2007 specializing in the financial services and oil and gas industries. Andrew also serves as a partner in Thomas Financial Advisors LLC, a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor serving clients with comprehensive investment, tax and risk management advisory services.
Andrew received his B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from the University of Colorado and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Colorado.

Garrin is a graduate of Colorado State University and in public practice since 2007 when he joined the firm co-founded by his father, Stan Sauerwein. Garrin is a Senior Accountant and has experience in taxation, financial reporting and auditing.

Richard is a graduate of the University of Colorado and has been in public practice since 2008. Richard has experience in taxation and financial reporting.

Zach is a graduate of Colorado State University and in public practice since 2011 when he joined the firm co-founded by his father, Scott Olson. Zach has experience in taxation, financial reporting and auditing.

Josh is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and has been in public accounting since joining the firm in 2011. Josh’s experience includes taxation, compilation and audit.

A graduate of Northern Arizona University Ian joined the firm in 2011. Ian has experience in taxation, financial reporting and auditing.

Eric earned his Master’s Degree in Accounting from Regis University and joined the firm in 2011. Eric was most recently a Project Accountant for the City of Boulder and worked for MWH. Eric has experience with government accounting.

Barbara is the Executive Assistant to the partners, joining the firm in 2009. Barbara is a Notary Public and has experience with Payroll, HR, Benefits and general accounting. Barbara is the “go to” person when you need copies of documents or any other administrative needs.
